OUR MOTTO

Onthelease is an open community dedicated to bringing the individuals closer together by the motto “sharing is caring”. Our community includes people from all over the country, from all backgrounds, religion, race and customs.

Although Onthelease does not believe we can mandate harmony within the community, however we do believe in one core notion that applies both to Onthelease’s Asset Owners and Customers:  mutual respect. We hope this enables all members of our community to feel respected and welcome on the Onthelease platform.

Prejudice, racism and hatred will not be tolerated on our platform. We are willing to do what it takes to go beyond the minimum law requirements. We are all devoted to help eliminate all forms of unlawful bias, discrimination, and intolerance from our platform. All of us, Onthelease employees, just like all Asset Owners and Customers, agree to read and act in accordance with this policy to strengthen our community.

 It is our mission and wish to have all community members feel respected on the Onthelease platform.

PERSONAL PREFERENCES

  1. Put yourself in other people's shoes, how would you feel when you get turned down?
    Asset Owners should keep in mind that nobody likes to be rejected. While an Asset Owner may have, and articulate, lawful and legitimate reasons to turn down a potential Customer, that member may feel disrespected. Asset Owners should make every effort to respect Customers of all backgrounds. Asset Owners who demonstrate a pattern of rejecting Customers (even while articulating legitimate reasons), and making potential Customers feel disrespected, and Onthelease may suspend Asset Owners who have demonstrated such a pattern from the Onthelease platform.

  2. What happens when an Asset Owner does not act in compliance with this policy?
    If a particular listing contains language that goes against this anti-discrimination policy, the Asset Owner will be asked to remove the language and reconfirm his or her understanding and intent to comply with this policy and its underlying principles. Onthelease may also, in its discretion, take steps up to and including suspending the Asset Owner from the Onthelease platform.

    If the Asset owner improperly rejects Customers on the basis of protected class, or uses language demonstrating that his or her actions contrary to this policy, Onthelease will take steps to enforce this policy, up to and including suspending the Asset Owner from the platform.

As the Onthelease community grows, we will continue to ensure all Customers and Asset Owners feel respected and welcome in all of their interactions using the Onthelease platform. We, the Onthelease team and our community, expect no less than this.
